i survived the crazy christmas concert week!!! now what? NOTHING. well, i guess this is the "aftermath" week. the, "did i pay all my bills?" week. the, "oh yeah, i was going to work out every day but don't even remember the last time i thought about it. guess i'll start that up again" week.

my place looks like a a tornado hit it, but left everything in piles. not organized piles ~ piles that have music, bills, cookbooks, CD's and probably some really important things hidden in there. it'll feel so good to get it all organized and put away, but for now, i'm going to sip my espresso and make fun lists of things i want to do these next few weeks. sure, there are random gigs here and there, but i will now be focusing on the stuff i want to focus on.

like planning a wedding.

and, oh, maybe, knitting?

baking cookies?

how about a yoga class?

sounds marvelous.

our first snow and it is really hideous out there. wind blowing and snow whirling around. 10 degrees and dropping. i hope i wake up tomorrow morning and there's a blanket of fresh, white snow all over every surface. i just love that.
i am watching "julie and julia" for probably the 150th time. but i can't help it ~ it contains some of my favorite things: paris, julia child, cooking! and an average woman in queens, dreaming, cooking and blogging. what more could i ask for? oh, and accordion music! ha ha.
and women who are searching for greatness in their lives. or maybe that's not true. i guess both of them, julia child and julie powell, were just looking for something to do.
as a deeply creative person, i know what it's like to love life so vividly that every aspect of your life must have an artistic flare to it. your to-do list is a melange of reminders to work out, pay bills, go to the grocery store, mixed with practice violin, pick up knitting, and rearrange living room furniture. and both are equally as important!
